39 Morris Avenue

SUMMIT – 2008

HQM Properties, Inc. partnered with Morris Habitat for Humanity, the city of Summit and the Summit Housing Authority to develop six for-sale 2-bedroom condominiums at 39 Morris Avenue. These homes have a 30-year deed restriction and offset the City of Summit’s state affordable housing obligation.

Unique Features: This was the first for-sale affordable housing development in the city of Summit and the first Inter-Faith build.  Each congregation in town pledged funds toward the construction of the project and provided volunteer labor.

The total development cost for this project was $1,357,406 and was financed as follows:

Habitat SHOP grant $42,000

City of Summit $530,000

Private church donations $242,375

Misc. private grants $43,031

Morris Habitat in kind donations $350,000
